Creative Flow – Tuesdays 5.45 – 7.00pm in the Studio
This creative flow class draws on vinyasa and hatha practices, using physical asana, breath and meditation to cultivate body awareness, strength and flexibility. I encourage students to find space and stability in their practice; listening and engaging with our bodies to develop a practice which is safe, challenging and empowering.
This class is suitable for all levels and abilities. My classes are offered on a sliding scale as I do not believe price should be a barrier to accessing the benefits of yoga for all. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or come and see me just before/after class.
In this class, I sometimes use physical adjustments as a way to facilitate students to feel into their practice through thoughtful and consensual touch. I will always ask before adjusting. If this is something you do not want, this is absolutely your choice. Please let me know before class or in the moment, allowing for the possibility that this may change throughout the class.
I have been practising yoga since 2006. Initially, as a way to combat back pain, I soon realised yoga has the potential to go much deeper than making shapes and stretching. Since qualifying as a teacher at Yoga Vidya Gurukul, India in 2014 and then the Advanced Teacher Training 500hr with Yogasara Bristol, I have experienced how all aspects of my life have woven themselves into my yoga practice and vice versa. I have practised various types of yoga but really found my home with classes that encourage creativity, compassion and appreciation of the diversity of the human body.
For me, yoga is a never-ending journey of learning. It has the power to change not only our relationship with ourselves, but with everything and everyone around us. This is what I love about yoga and feel privileged to share and develop in my classes as a teacher.
