Sonic Yin – Mondays 5.30 – 6.30 pm in the Studio
Explore the body through the subtleties of external sound, creating moments of stillness to deeply nourish and balance your system.
Restorative and Yin inspired poses along with a palette of sounds, help release the deep tension held in your muscles, joints and fascia (connective tissue), whilst opening the meridians – energy lines – and clearing stagnancy from your digestion and internal organs. The breath remains light and the mind detaches from the business of the day, bringing about a sense of restoration.
This practice can ease anxiety, relieve the effects of stress and can help promote deeper sleep and nourishing rest.
Kitty has lived a life infused with yoga since she was a young teenager.
While studying a degree in Public Health in 2004 she discovered the dynamic Ashtanga Yoga practice and moved deeply into the Mysore form. Studying yoga in India exposed her to many lineages along with the sister school of yoga, Ayurveda.
From these early years, Kitty’s fascination with nutrition and healing plants continues to grow in the form of teaching and conducting one to one consultations. Her travels lead her to study with many yoga schools to cultivate a rich blend of styles weaved into each class.
After more than 10 years of teaching yoga, Kitty continues to offer classes, workshops and retreats to share the transformative power of yoga.
