Moon-style Hatha and Meditation – Wednesdays 5.30 – 6.30pm in the Yoga Room
‘Once the moon is made steady, the sun can be made to rise’
In the Moon-style Hatha and Meditation classes we guide awareness inwards to touch the stillness that exists beyond the thinking mind, embodying the idea that ‘I am not my thoughts, I am that which experiences the mind thinking’.
I have been teaching yoga in Bristol for two years and love to share the practice of stillness and mindfulness with my students.
The practice is a deep, challenging and nourishing physical practice with longer holds and an emphasis on creating stability and calmness of body and mind.
These classes are ideal if:
• You have a busy life or a busy mind.
• You want to feel more stable and calm.
• You want to improve your concentration and meditation practice.
I trained in Hatha Yoga and from that background, breathing practices and meditation are at the core of all of my classes. I love to share this knowledge and experience which is why I build different styles of classes but always include time to meditate.
I am passionate about the sea and run surf and yoga retreats when I get the chance, I think the water element seeps into my classes when I start to slow things down and introduce calm, fluid movements and long-hold postures.
